Sheriff’s office will continue to manage Alachua County jail

The Alachua County Commission has approved a motion to let the Sheriff’s office to continue to manage the correctional facility, allowing the Sheriff’s office to hire new staff members.  Florida’s 89.1, WUFT-FM’s Bryan Garcia spoke earlier today with Sheriff Sadie Darnell about the agreement.

Strong earthquake hits Mexico

Study finds drop in consumer confidence

Confidence among Florida’s consumers dropped for the first time in three months.   As Florida’s 89.1, WUFT-FM’s Bryan Garcia reports, the most recent study by the University of Florida shows that consumer spending could be on decline.
