Gainesville’s McDonald’s locales comply with national calorie-listing rule

Menus at fast-food restaurants now have to post the amount of calories in items alongside their pictures. All McDonald’s stores in Gainesville have switched their menus over.

Michelle Obama to visit Gainesville on Monday — details confirmed

Updated 3:10 p.m. Obama for America has confirmed that First Lady Michelle Obama will be speaking at the O’Connell Center Monday at 3:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, however tickets are required due to the limited space.
