44th annual Gatornationals scheduled for Thursday through Saturday

Gatornationals, Gainesville’s annual drag racing event, will be held at Auto-Plus Raceway March 14 to 17. The event is expected to attract at least 500 racers.

Anti-hunger group falls short of goal, looks forward to 2013

Strike Out Hunger Food Drive and Basket Giveaway didn’t meet its 2012 goal of collecting 100,000 pounds of food but came close by collecting 78,000 pounds. The group’s 2013 food drive will take place Nov. 1-8 at the Alachua County Fairgrounds.

Former county commissioner presents 2012 Strike Out Hunger Food Drive results
