According to a press release from the Gainesville Police Department, Greg Delano McFarlane, 26, has been arrested and charged with sexual battery upon a local woman on October 9th.
Police say the incident took place after McFarlane asked the victim for a lighter at around 2:00 a.m. in downtown Gainesville. She let him use it and then he continued to follow her on foot, then cornering her at gunpoint at the 600 block of NE 2nd St.
McFarlane has a warrant for $1,000,000 bond. He is being interviewed by GPD.
