Interact With WUFT For Primary Election Coverage

Precincts for the primary elections in Alachua and Marion counties close at 7 p.m. today.

WUFT News will be covering the elections in Alachua County and will be reporting from the candidate watch parties in the races for sheriff, supervisor of elections, county commission and school board. We'll also be covering Marion County's races for sheriff, superintendent of schools, county commission and school board.

In addition, we'll have results from notable state races, as well as other counties around North Central Florida.

Visit WUFT's election guide to learn who's running the contested primaries, which, for Alachua County, are expected to see a 10 to 15 percent increase in voter turnout over 2012.

To find your voting location, visit the Florida Division of Elections website, enter your full name and birthday, and then click submit. On the next page, click the "Your Polling Location" link for precinct information and a sample ballot.

For elections updates, like WUFT on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, watch Channel 5 at 5 p.m. and listen to us on 89.1 FM, which will be providing special live coverage tonight after results come in.
