Gainesville Fire Rescue and Alachua County Fire Rescue helped to extract a driver Monday afternoon from a crash on I-75.
At around 3:30 p.m., crews responded to a crash near the Archer Road exit. Wet roads likely helped to cause the crash, GFR spokesman Michael Cowart said, though Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating.
The driver's name was not released.
Emergency crews responded to multiple incidents on I-75 throughout Monday's rainy afternoon and evening, including a crash shortly after this one that also included entrapment near the 39th Avenue exit.
