Police: Woman Tried To Run Over Titusville Police Officer

No one was injured after police say a woman tried to hit an officer with a car in Titusville.

Titusville Police Chief John Lau tells local media that police received a call of shots fired Thursday evening at an apartment complex.

Responding officers saw a vehicle matching the description of one involved in the shooting speed out of the parking lot.

Officers followed the car. The female driver went a restaurant parking lot, where she was met by officers.

Lau says that at first the woman was compliant, but suddenly put the car in drive and drove at an officer, pinning the officer against the windshield.

Officers fired at the car. No one was hurt.

The unidentified woman was arrested on unknown charges. Two officers were placed on administrative leave.
