At least 36 employers will be available in one place to talk with job seekers next week.

CareerSource North Central Florida has partnered with the city of Gainesville to host the City of Gainesville Job Fair on Tuesday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at CareerSource's new Gainesville career center at 10 NW Sixth St.

“[The fair will be] focused mostly on filling positions at the city of Gainesville, but we do have other local area businesses,” CareerSource spokesman Frank Avery told WUFT.

Job seekers do not have to register beforehand to participate, but they do need to bring a copy of their resume and a photo ID. The attire is business casual.

Avery said CareerSource encourages those looking for a job to update their www.EmployFlorida.com profiles, if they have one, and come to the career center to receive help updating their skills based on the jobs they want.

CareerSource North Central Florida is overseen by the commissions in Alachua and Bradford counties.
