A 16-month-old girl was found deceased in a vehicle in Lake City on Tuesday afternoon. Columbia County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) went to a home at 111 SW Stafford Court in response to a 911 call.
Initial information provided to the responding CCSO deputies indicated that the child's father forgot to take her to daycare that morning and did not discover her until he returned home yesterday afternoon.
Because the child's parents are employed by the 3rd Judicial Circuit of Florida, CCSO asked the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) to continue the investigation.
The child's mother is Wendy Timonera Kwon, assistant state attorney, and the father is assistant public defender Young Kwon.
