Levy County Shooting 911 Call Released

Levy County Sheriff's Office released the 911 call of the man who they say shot his wife in the head yesterday.

The victim called 911 after her husband, George Halleran, was drunk and fighting with her. While on the phone the dispatcher heard gun shots. The victim was able to tell the him she had been shot.

The responding deputies were able to get the victim and her 84-year-old mother away from Halleran.

Halleran resisted arrest but was eventually handcuffed.

The victim was taken to Shands at UF and is being treated for a non-life threatening injury.

George Halleran is being held at the Levy County Detention Facility on a 3 million dollar bond for attempted murder, resisting arrest without violence, and domestic battery.
