Search continues for Santa Fe College robbery suspect

Police at Santa Fe College are still looking for a man they say used a knife in an attempt to rob a  student.  Florida’s 89.1 WUFT-FM’s Brandan McCalla reports on reaction to the crime and the ongoing search.

Police Collecting DNA Samples in Relation to Recent Attacks

The University of Florida Police Department and the Gainesville Police Department are targeting individuals for DNA samples that vaguely fit the suspect’s description from the three attacks that occurred on or near UF’s campus.

Bell Residents Hold Vigil In Honor Of Slain Family

In the small town of Bell, family and friends gathered at a candlelight vigil to honor the lives of Sarah Spirit, 28, and her six children. Police said last Thursday, Don Spirit shot and killed his daughter and six grandchildren before turning the gun on himself.


Bell, Fla., residents light candles in support of the slain family. Friends, family and members of the community stand in silence while paying respects.
