Gators go into Carrier Classic with two walk-ons

With the Florida Gator basketball team opening their season Friday night aboard the USS Bataan, fans will see plenty of new faces on this year’s squad. A couple of those players, including one name that is a legend in Gainesville, are playing without a scholarship this year. WUFT-FMs Zac Blobner has more on the story of walk ons.

Wahines of the Waves is hosting Boobs for Barrels, a philanthropy event benefitting the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation. The event starts at 9 a.m. on March 28 at Butler Beach near St. Augustine.
Gainesville athlete Kieme Barr is one of the top-10 high jumpers in the country. He will represent the United States in July in the Down Under 2015 Australian Tournament if he can raise enough money.
UF will not receive any penalties because of steps the institution took once the claim was brought to its attention.
