A piece of concrete fell from a Ben Hill Griffin Stadium wall late Monday night.

According to a statement from UAA, the concrete piece was found near Gate 15 on Monday night. Officials closed the area, and a structural engineer inspected the stadium’s east upper facade.

Steve McClain, senior associate athletic director for UAA, said in a statement that a concrete restoration company will repair the wall near Gate 15 before Friday, the day before the much-anticipated University of South Carolina versus University of Florida.
