UF alumni Mcgriff and Doering discuss NFL replacement officials

WUFT’s Corey Brooks spoke with former NFL players and UF alumni Travis McGriff and Chris Doering about, among other topics, the NFL replacement referees.

Late Thursday night, the NFL Referees Association and NFL reached a “tentative contract agreement,” ending a nearly four-week referee lockout.

UF Organization To Host Barrels For Boobs Surfing Competition For Breast Cancer Charity

Wahines of the Waves is hosting Boobs for Barrels, a philanthropy event benefitting the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation. The event starts at 9 a.m. on March 28 at Butler Beach near St. Augustine.

Barr Rises As One Of Nation’s Top High Jumpers

Gainesville athlete Kieme Barr is one of the top-10 high jumpers in the country. He will represent the United States in July in the Down Under 2015 Australian Tournament if he can raise enough money.

UF will not receive any penalties because of steps the institution took once the claim was brought to its attention.

Florida Hangs On Against Vanderbilt To Earn Much Needed Win

It was another close game at home for the Gators, who managed to squeeze past Vanderbilt 50-47 on Wednesday night. This win stops the team’s four game losing streak.

Gators Can’t Hold On To Take Down Top Ranked Wildcats

The Florida Gators lost to the top-ranked Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday, 68-61.The Gators led by two points going into halftime, but Kentucky answered back with a strong second half, outscoring the Gators 40-31.
