5 years ago today the eyes and hearts of the world turned towards Virgina Tech where 32 people were killed and 25 more were injured at the the hands of one of their own. Florida’s 89.1, WUFT-FM’s Chris Gilmore spoke with University of Florida Police Captain Jeff Holcomb and UF students on the state of security on campus.

The Florida Department of Children and Families as well as two private companies have agreed to pay $750,000 to settle legal claims resulting from a mass killing in Bell last September.
