A recent phone scam in Marion County serves as a reminder to be aware of false calls, and Alachua County’s public information officer warns who is at risk.
A 47-year-old Alachua county man was fatally shot Monday afternoon after an argument with his neighbor. The suspect was booked into the Alachua County Jail early this morning on charges of first degree murder.
Officer Michael Lee is on administrative leave after the Friday night incident.

A drug bust by the Unified Drug Enforcement Strike Team resulted in nine arrests in Belleview on Thursday. The team was investigating the residents of 12250 SE 86th Ave. after receiving complaints from neighbors.
