Smoke not a significant factor in Hawthorne Road fire

Fire officials are keeping a watchful eye on a fire sparked yesterday on Hawthorne Road.  WUFT-FM’s Lauren Rautenkranz says there is little to do except let it burn out.

Alachua County Fire Rescue plans to try extinguishing the fire if it shrinks by nightfall, otherwise it may take a few more days to die down.
