Nuclear energy topic of discussion at Civic Media Center tonight

By

A discussion on atomic energy and the proposed nuclear power plant in Levy County gets underway at the Civic Media Center tonight. The discussion comes three days before two public meetings in Levy county for citizens to voice their concerns about the two planned nuclear plants in Levy County before the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.  Tonight’s Civic Media Center speakers, Mandy Hancock and Mary Olson will give differing opinions on the topic.  Discussion items will range from possible increases in Progress Energy bills to potential environmental damage from nuclear energy in north Florida. Tonight’s discussion gets underway at 7 p.m.
