Gainesville #1 in commute time in the state

By on January 9th, 2012

Gainesville ranks number 1 in the best commute times in Florida. More than 86% of commuters in Gainesville spend less than 30 minutes in traffic daily. A report by the U.S. Census Bureau says nationally Gainesville ranks 19 out over 250 major cities in shortest traffic time. City officials say the new 18 million dollar traffic management system partnership and the Gainesville Regional Transit System are helping to keep traffic running smoothly.
