The buzz on internet cafes
Alachua County commissioners will consider a moratorium on internet cafes today in an effort to decide how to zone the cafes in the future. County Growth Management Senior Planner Missy Daniels says there are no cafes in unincorporated Alachua County right now, but they need to decide how to deal with them in the future.
As commissioners work to solve this question, some neighborhood groups are increasing protest to internet cafes, which they view as a bed for gambling.
