GPD may have gun used in weekend parking garage homicide

The Gainesville Police Department reports that earlier this afternoon a handgun was discovered outside the Alachua County Courthouse by a Jimmy Johns delivery person.. Gainesville Police Department Spokeswoman Corporal Angelina Valuri says the gun could be tied to the homicide parking garage shooting over the weekend.

Valuri says the gun will be sent off for further analysis.

Valuri says officials are grateful for the citizen who located the gun.
