Gator national champs honored in rival stadium

This weekend, the University of Florida Marching Band will perform in front of a huge audience, but not at a Gator game. Florida’s 89.1 WUFT-FM’s Marc Whiteman has more on a visit to “enemy territory”, while honoring a Gator legend.

UF Club Baseball Hosts Home Run Derby, Alumni Weekend

The University of Florida club baseball team lost to the University of Central Florida Knights during the April 18-19 series in Gainesville, ending the Gators’ season. The UF club baseball team kicked off its alumni weekend on April 17, which included a home run derby pitting current players against club alumni.


Florida pulls ahead of Dayton in the last 500 meters of their heat on Saturday. Florida’s varsity four boat with Brittny Ostermann, Melanie Carle, Jillian Sands, Chandler Jolly and coxswain Jessica Kulenguski placed first in both their heat and semi-final. Florida Crew Advance To Grand Finals At SIRA Championship

Florida Crew had five boats advance to the grand finals at the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association (SIRA) Championship Regatta in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. A handful of races were cancelled due to weather conditions, but the varsity four and Novice eight boats took home silver and bronze, respectively.
