Alachua County commissioners may lower millage rates

The Alachua County Commission will hold the first of two public hearings to finalize the budget and set property tax millage rates for the 2011-2012 fiscal year. Florida’s 89.1, WUFT-FM’s Corey Bachman spoke with Alachua County Commission Spokesman Mark Sexton about what the millage rate decrease could mean to Alachua County residents.
