Area veterans get medical and economic help at Homeless Veteran Stand Down event

Veterans gathered today at the Martin Luther King Jr. Multi-Purpose Center in Gainesville for an event designed to give back to homeless veterans.  As Florida’s 89.1, WUFT-FM’s Shannon McCarthy reports, organizers say they hope the veterans reach out to receive this helping hand.
