So is it fiddle or violin?

By on June 30th, 2011

This Sunday evening, July 3rd at 6:00 here on Florida’s 89.1, WUFT-FM, the “Spring Into Summer Concert Series” features Evans Hail conducting the Gainesville Chamber Orchestra as they performed a pops concert this last March. Sonya Leonore Stahl plays violin for the Gainesville Chamber Orchestra but during this year’s Florida Folk Festival she won first place in the “Rustic Fiddle Contest.” So…Is it a fiddle or a violin? This week Sonya attempted to explain the difference to WUFT’s Richard Drake.

You can hear Sonya playing along with the rest of the Gainesville Chamber Orchestra as they perform their March 4th pops concert on this Sunday Evening’s “Spring into Summer Concert” at 6:00 pm here on Florida’s 89.1.
