Veterans and fire rescuers honored at Alachua County’s Memorial Day services

Alachua County’s Memorial Day 2011 services included a special tribute to not only military veterans, but to fire rescue personnel who risk their lives for the public. Florida’s 89.1, WUFT-FM’s Alyssa Averette attended and brings us some of the highlights:

Alachua County Sheriff’s Office Hires New K-9

A 1 1/2 year old K-9 is the newest, youngest deputy at the Alachua County Sheriff's Office. He will soon begin a vigorous training process in order to officially join the force.
