UF offers sustainability major

The University of Florida is offering a brand new major to students. The new Sustainability Studies” major will allow students the chance to study the humanities, social and natural sciences in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Political Science Professor Les Thiele is the director of the major. Thiele says the major will prepare students to be leaders in major corporations as sustainability officers. The major will be offered to students beginning this fall semester. He adds the Sustainability Studies major is not offered by many other universities.
