Man finally receives his degree three decades later
Many University of Florida students will be participating in this weekend’s commencement ceremonies. Among them is Roger Blum who left UF in 1978. Roger Blum was working on his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics when he decided to leave three credits short of a degree to work on a Carnival Cruise ship. Blum’s wife and two children will watch him graduate at the O’Connell Center on Saturday. Florida’s 89.1 WUFT-FM’s Stephanie Jones spoke with Blum about his decision to come back to school.
