U.S. Represenative Giffords to attend Endeavor liftoff in Florida

Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords has been cleared to attend her husband’s shuttle launch at Cape Canaveral on Friday. This will be the first trip for the Arizona congresswoman since flying to Houston three months ago to recover from a gunshot wound to her head. Her husband, Mark Kelly, is the commander on the shuttle Endeavor mission.

Researchers feel that if the U.S. ends the embargo against Cuba it will impact several areas, including the economy and environmental research.
