Walking to raise awareness about the financial plight of veterans

An Iraq war veteran walked through Gainesville today in the midst of his 7,000 mile hike across America to raise funds and awareness for military families in need. Troy Yocum will make several more stops throughout the state of Florida including Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville. From there he will make his way to New Orleans and then all the way North to Boston. Florida’s 89-point-one WUFT-FM’s Milani Beaudrault has more.
