The Florida House District 22 seat held by House Speaker Larry Cretul from Ocala is up for grabs. Cretul is leaving because of term limits. 89.1 WUFT FM’s Patrick Colden reports on the two men vying for the seat, Democrat Jon Paugh and Republican Keith Perry.

Getting a boost from independent voters and adding to her advantage among women, Democrat Hillary Clinton has opened an 8-point lead over Republican Donald Trump in Florida's critical presidential contest, a new poll shows. Clinton leads Trump by a margin of 47 percent to 39 percent in Florida, after being in a virtual deadlock last month, according to a poll released Tuesday by Quinnipiac University. Clinton led by 1 percentage point in a May 10 poll.
