University of Florida President Bernie Machen was in Washington on Tuesday to discuss stimulus funds with Vice President Joe Biden. Representing the only Southeastern University at the meeting, Machen says the stimulus funds have helped U-F continue to succeed during tough economic times. 89.1, WUFT-FM’s Dan Katz talked with President Machen earlier today, as he was preparing to board a plane in a Washington airport.
