Romney takes Bradford County; Dems take sheriff

Two Democrats bucked the trend for Bradford County, taking the seats for sheriff and district superintendent of schools.

Incumbent Gordon Smith won the sheriff race with 78 percent of the vote, beating Republican candidate JJ Etheridge, according to unofficial results Tuesday night.

Chad Farnsworth won the seat for the district superintendent of schools with 69 percent of the vote. His opponent, Beth Moore, received 31 percent.

Republican candidate Mitt Romney won 71 percent of the vote.
