Alan Hays wins state Senate seat
Incumbent Republican Alan Hays has been declared the winner in state Senate District 11, according to Ocala.com. These results show Hays received about 70 percent of the vote.
Hays faced John Iler, who declared no party affiliation. Iler received about 29 percent of the vote.
Hays served in the House of Representatives from 2004 through 2010. In 2010, Hays was first elected to the Florida Senate, according to information on his campaign website.
A recent article on Ocala.com states that Iler raised $2,000 for this campaign.
